At the end of last year, leaders of Shanghai Headoffice of USA Yoband noticed a news —— A father sold vegetables to save his nine-year-old son who was amputated and cheated him that his leg was repaired The Group set up a team which was leaded by Liu Jiali contacted with Xiaoming’s parents and took all cost of prosthetics.

We reported this story 6 months age in Changsha: a father paid his amputated son’s medical bills by selling vegetables. In order to prevent the impact of negative emotions on his son, he told his son that his leg was repairing and will be repaired soon. Half a year later in Shanghai, the son’s dream of repairing leg comes true under the help of kindness people. 


Xiaoming is doing rehabilitation treatment on June 25, 2015 in Shanghai Baoshan District. Once he has time, he plays phone games. During his illness, his parents want the game can distract his attention. 

During rehabilitation treatment in Shanghai, they live in the prosthetic company for free. Xiao Ming’s mother cook a pot of bone soup everyday, she hopes that it will be helpful to his left leg rehabilitation. 


Xiao Zhongshun, the father put on the new leg a shoe carefully and repeated ——Good! Very good!

  Xiaoming felt unpleasant when he put on prosthetics at the first time. He became angrily easier and shouted to his parents when his parents talk to him. 


After anger, Xiaoming perhaps felt remorse for his actions, bowed his head and kept silent.

Xiaoming came to the rehabilitation training hall with his mother and looked into it curiously.

Xiaoming left shoe code is lager than right one for right foot will grow bigger soon. When he grows up, the prosthetics foot will mate his right foot.


After a short time training, Xiaoming sat on the floor and said that he did not want to practice, and want to return to Changsha.

During training, Xiaoming’s father played scissors-paper-stone with him when Xiaoming felt unpleasant.

At rest, Xiaoming’s father looked the hope of his family —— the new leg again and again. Xiaoming was lying on his mother and seemed to accept his new leg. 


Under other’s encouragement, Xiaoming went back to practice. His shadow looked like a real man, although he must have a rest after two or three steps. 


Xiaoming paced alone with a stick in the hallway. The road ahead he is still very difficult, but we believe that the sun will always irradiate to the people who run towards it.
      
On June 25, 10-year-old Xiaoming was doing rehabilitation in Yoband rehabilitation hall in Shanghai Baoshan District. He raised his right foot and leaned forward, then, his left prosthesis leg took a step forward. Seeing this, Xiao Shun smiled and said: “Be careful, my son! Don’t fall down. ”
Last September, Xiaoming was amputated his left leg for osteosarcoma. Xiao Zhongshun sold vegetables at the farmers' market in Jinggui Road in order to save his son. Xiao Zhongshun and his wife told a white lie to their son. They told Xiaoming that he will have his leg after repairing. And Xiaoming believed that his leg must be repaired. After the report, a lot of kindness people and enterprises helped Xiaoming to realize his dream of repairing his leg. Xiao Zhongshun and his son came to Shanghai to install free prostheses on June 6.
In Yoband rehabilitation hall, the staff helped Xiaoming put on his customized prostheses in the morning of June 25. But Xiaoming still quite suited to prostheses. He clasped the stick and refused to walk forward. He knocked the wall with the stick and shouted to his parents. He didn’t want his parents always looking at him.
Xiao Zhongshun and his wife hided when they saw their son got angry. Xiangming preferred listening to the staff. Under the staff’s persuading, Xiaoming finally walked forward with a stick. He walked form one side to the other side and then walked back. He refused to keep walking after only a round. His mother persuaded him and accompanied him for another round.
Liu Jiali, the manager of Shanghai Headoffice of USA Yoband, told to the journalist after seeing this. Xiaoming was very shy when he came to here at the beginning. But when we familiar to him, we will find he is very clever. Liu Jiali added that all the prostheses are from USA and Xiangming can walk as the other children after series rehabilitation.   
Xiaoming’s several steps means a lot to Xiao Zhongshun and his wife. Their hope is illuminated.
Journalist Notes
Six months later, everything was finally consummated.
I met 46-year-old Xiao Zhongshun six months ago on Dec 27, 2014. He had son at his middle age and took care of his son. But nobody can expect that God plays a joke on him. 9-year-old Xiaoming had to be amputated for osteosarcoma.
Xiao Zhongshun had to sell vegetables from dawn to dusk to pay for the high medical fee. In order to raise more money, he often rode a tricycle to sell vegetables after selling at the farmer’s market.
During the interview, a detail made me cry. It was a winter noon, Xiao Zhongshun took three baozi from his chest which actually was his breakfast after selling vegetables at farmer’s market in Jinggui Road.
As a father of a son, I was deeply aware of the pain in his heart. What makes us feel gratifying is that a lot of citizens donated money for him after our report. Finally, Xiaoming’s family got through the difficulties and he stood on his feet again.
Xiao Zhongshun and his wife showed a long-lost smile in their face when they saw Xiaoming took his first step with the prostheses.
Then I took a photo of Xiaoming standing with a stick and sent the photo to my Moments with the following sentence “There is nothing more important than health, and finally I did a good thing”.
Six months later, everything was finally consummated.
Xiao Zhongshun said: “Thanks to those kind people. They made my son have a new life. I hope he has a grateful heart and returns to the community when he grows up.”
Naïve Son
I felt embarrassed for my parents’ controlling.
 In the rehabilitation hall, the journalist noticed that during Xiaoming’s walking practice, he kept his eyes on TV all the time. A cartoon was broadcasted on TV. The staff said that the TV in rehabilitation hall was taken by Xiaoming since he came to here. Fortunately, other patients didn’t mind that.
In Xiaoming’s rest time, the journalist asked him why he didn’t want his parents look at him. He answered with pursed lips: “I felt embarrassed for my parents’ controlling.”
Xiao Zhongshun disagreed with Xiaoming’s words. “He always cried to go home and didn’t want to practice.” He told the journalist that Xiaoming had changed a lot after surgery and got angry easier than before. But Xiao Zhongshun was happy to see his son can walk like a normal child.
In the rehabilitation hall, Xiao Ming was clamoring to play the game after a few steps. Xiaoming said: “I want to go home because of that the game will be full level.” Xiaoming was excited when we talked about game.
Xiao Zhongshun said that Xiaoming liked playing games on pad after his surgery. They didn’t take the pad to Shanghai with them in order to let Xiaoming focus on rehabilitation.
We hope he will be grateful and return to society after growing up.
 “Thanks for kind people. My son could have a new life.” said Xiao Zhongshun. Xiaoming will finish his chemotherapy and has been installed the prosthetic. Thanks to those kind people, he will have a nice future. Xiao Zhongshun has written down and keep every donator in his mind. 
 “Total amount is about 140000. Chemotherapy will be finished this time.”Xiao Zhongshun said, “My son will never stand up again without those help of kind people. My white lie will come true.”
 “I hope he will be grateful and return to society after growing up.” said Xiao Zhongshun. Xiao Zhongshun hopes his son can keep going to school after rehabilitation and says:“The only way is to go to school.”
