"Blade warrior woman " wearing prosthesis refreshed the hundred–meter national record
Sichuan disabled track and field athlete, is called "blade Woman Warrior." By 2015, the first time participating as an professional athlete, "the Ninth National Games for the Disabled and the Sixth Special Olympics," She won t42 on level 100 meters, long jump two champions. The 100 meters’ result is 17 seconds 59, she broke his own national record of 19 seconds 59, also boarded 2015cctv Sports Personality of the Year Award nomination list, awarded the honorary title of 2015 annual "National Excellent Youth League," by the central group.
1.65 meters tall, tying a pony tail, after graduating from Chengdu Information Engineering University Ginkgo Hotel Management College, the 23-year-old Chen Yi-Mei became a professional athlete. She trains every day ,from am 9:00 to 11:00, pm15:00 to 5:00. Chen Yi Mei said, although no sporting event recently, but she wants to keep competitive state, ready for attacking the game.
Chen Yimei had her left leg amputated because of a car accident when she was 9 years old . She had been walking on crutches and her biggest desire is to run again.
In 2013.When she was in college ,Chen Yi Mei successfully entered the Sichuan Disabled track and field team after selection, compared with the old players, Chen Yi-Mei was running on beginners. Since the long-term no movement, her left leg muscle has basically been necrosis, "the body is soft." With the help of the coach, Chen Yi Mei started to resume training, from training by one leg to running with prosthesis.
"The period is the most difficult, especially the first two months." Chen Yi Mei said, she was not used to feeling the leg pressure suddenly , and the skin contacting with the prosthesis was often worn, blisters, calluses long. After each training , not completely taking off the prosthesis, she can smell the blood, the knee was bloody.
Even so, Chen Yimei has always been insisted, she said:. "I really like the feeling of wind blowing ,it is natural wind in the past, now I can feel the wind in the running, I feel very happy, no matter how tough, I won’t give up."
After two years training, Chen Yimei participated in firstly as an professional athlete , "the Ninth National Games for the Disabled and the Sixth Special Olympics", won the 100 m level t42 project champion with the score 17 seconds 59 ,broking her own national record of 19 seconds 59. At the same time, she gained the gold medal for long jump, discus silver medal, with "two gold and one silver record" achieved a much-anticipated "Blade Woman Warrior."
Now, Chen Yi Mei still sticks to training every day, she said, as a professional athlete, you should get better results. Besides, the movement makes her more confident and happy.
